DEBRA A. GUASTELLA

BIOGRAPHY, 2012

Debra has been practicing permanent cosmetics and paramedical tattooing in the Greater New Orleans area for over 15 years. She started her permanent cosmetic career in 1995 in a prominent plastic surgeon’s office until 2005, when she opened the Guastella Institute for Permanent & Corrective Cosmetics, one of the few stand alone permanent cosmetic facilities in the state. She is a certified permanent cosmetic technician and licensed through the State of Louisiana. Debra served as a Board of Director for 5 years for the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, the largest governing organization in the permanent cosmetic industry globally. She now serves as the SPCP Convention Coordinator, Louisiana state delegate and Convention Emcee. She has traveled to Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico and many locations in the US teaching fundamental and advanced training, specializing in areola repigmentation procedures. Last year she presented to the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses convention in Chicago. In 2004 she was recognized as outstanding business women of the year. She has been a featured segment for both ABC and NBC local news stations. Debra has been on the cover of many local magazines and newspapers for both permanent cosmetic procedures and paramedical tattooing. She is an industry leader, keynote speaker and a respected industry trainer. Today, she continues to offer services for all aspects of permanent cosmetics, areola restoration and repigmentation and scar camouflage at her facility, The Guastella Institute of Permanent Cosmetics in Metairie.
